On The Planet

It’s no secret that fashion is one of the world’s highest polluting industries. Repeat buying to keep up with trends is encouraged, especially with fast fashion retailers. This results in wasted apparel that may only have been worn a handful of times before being discarded. Even worse, much of it is made from non-biodegradable fabrics that could take centuries to break down in landfills. This is one of the reasons we choose to produce premium quality timeless classics that outlast trends and are designed to be loved and worn for years to come.

At Joyride Supply we pledge  to be part of the solution instead of the problem. Our aim is to help  change the fashion industry’s  practices, and while we can’t guarantee perfection, we can ensure that we will continually uphold the values that we’ve focused on from the very beginning - being kind to the planet through our products.  As customers you have a choice to select thoughtfully made products that have minimal impact on our planet. We are here to bring those products to your boutiques.

How do we do this?

We focus on key metrics including carbon footprint, water usage and hazardous chemical use.

Here are a few of our commitments:

  • We commit to delivering a product that is carbon neutral by 2023.
  • We will offset emission with carbon credits through the Climate Neutral Fund.
  • All materials are sustainably sourced or recycled to reduce carbon emissions. Organic cottons use 87% less water than traditional cottons, and theyemit significantly less greenhouse gases.
  • Most of our factory partners are Bluesign certified which means that every step of the process is environmentally friendly.
  • We strive to eliminate all single use plastics.
  • Our products are made to last so you can wear them for longer.
  • We pledge to reduce packaging waste and prioritize sustainable alternatives whenever possible.
  • We will partner with responsible freight forwarders with the goal of becoming a carbon free shipper.
  • Our manufacturing partners are extremely committed to sustainability and show their commitment through the following accreditations: Bluesign, BCI, RWS, The Good Cashmere Standard, OKEO-TEX and GOTS to name a few.
